I WAS PART OF THE GROUP THAT HELP -- HELPED GET IT STARTED. THE WAY WE DID THAT, FOR THOSE THAT MAY NOT KNOW, WAS THAT THE CITY MANAGER HAD A WATER BILL. IT CAME OUT ON THE BOTTOM. THEY HAD A VOTING POLL ON WHETHER THE COMMUNITY WANTED FLUORIDE ADDED TO THE WATER AT A SAFE LEVEL. THAT POLL WAS IN THE AFFIRMATIVE. WE DID TAKE A POLL AND A NONBINDING REFERENDUM. THE SUBSTANTIAL MAJORITY SAID, WE WANT IT, AND THE CITY COUNCIL DID IT. BACK IN THE 60S, THE CITY COUNCIL ACTED UNILATERALLY TO ADD WATER TO THE -- FLUORIDE TO THE WATER. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION HAVE -- HAS COME OUT. IT CAN BE USED TO PREVENT DECAY, ESPECIALLY IN CHILDREN. I WON'T GO INTO THE SCIENCE OF IT. I WOULD LIKE TO READ SOME LITERATURE HERE WITH YOU. YOU GUYS MUST HAVE VOLUMES OF STUFF TO READ. THE JUDGE DECIDED THAT THE EPA NEEDED TO MAKE A STUDY THAT WAS PETITIONED BY ANTI-FLUORIDE GROUPS.
