DECISIONS REGARDING CERTIFICATE OF APPROPRIATENESS MAY BE APPEALED TO THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION BY WRITTEN REQUEST TO THE DIRECTOR OR HIS REPRESENTATIVE NO LATER THAN 15 DAYS FROM THE DATE OF THIS MEETING. DECISIONS REGARDING THE PROJECT AND TAX REDUCTION MAY BE APPEALED TO THE CONSTITUENTS BY WRITTEN REQUEST TO THE SECRETARY NO LATER THAN 10 DAYS FROM THE DATE OF THIS MEETING. THE MORRISON BARNHILL HOUSE BUILT IN 1932 IS A ONE-STORY LARGE BRICK RESIDENTS FEATURING A LARGE PORCH WITH BRICK COLUMNS. THE CRAFTSMAN STYLE HOME IS PRETTY GETTING TO THE -- THE LOT HAS A CONTRIBUTING ONE-STORY GARAGE ON THE REAR END OF THE PROPERTY IN AN ADDITIONAL GARAGES/CARRIAGE HOUSE ON THE EAST SIDE OF THE PROPERTY FACING SOUTH EIGHTH. HERE WE HAVE THE LOCATION MAP. AND AN AERIAL MAP.

AND THE ZONING MAP. IT IS ZONED FINGAL -- SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL. WE HAVE SOME PHOTOS OF THE SUBJECT PROPERTY, MORE SPECIFICALLY, THE CARRIAGE HOUSE THAT IS BEING DEMOLISHED AND REBUILT. HERE ARE THE PROPOSED PAINT SAMPLES AND AN ELEVATION SKETCH FOR THE NEW BUILDING AND THE PAINT SAMPLES TO THE LEFT.

THESE COLORS ARE THE PREVIOUS APPROVED COLORS THAT WERE FROM A CERTIFICATE OF APPROPRIATENESS. I BELIEVE IN 2015, THESE WERE THE EXACT SAMPLES THAT WERE USED THAT THEY WILL MATCH. THE STAFF REVIEW THIS PURSUANT TO THE SECRETARY OF INTERIOR STANDARDS FOR THE REHABILITATION OF HISTORIC BUILDINGS. STAFF RECOMMENDS APPROVAL OF THE REQUEST. IF ITEMS ARE APPROVED BY THE COMMISSION, LAND DEVELOP IN SECTION 2.3.4.4 REQUIRES THAT THE WORK APPROVED IN THE CERTIFICATE OF APPROPRIATENESS SHALL COMMENCE WITHIN SIX MONTHS OF THE APPROVAL OF THE LANDMARKS COMMISSION. IF WORK DOES NOT COMMENCE WITHIN SIX MONTHS, THE APPROVAL OF THE CERTIFICATE OF APPROPRIATENESS SHALL EXPIRE.

THE APPLICANT MAY REQUEST AN EXTENSION TO THE EXPIRATION DEADLINE PROVIDED A COMPLETED EXTENSION REQUEST IS SUBMITTED AT LEAST 30 DAYS FOR THE CERTIFICATE OF APPROPRIATENESS EXPIRES. AND I WOULD BE HAPPY TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS.
