WE SAW IT DROP A LITTLE BIT IN IN AUGUST BUT 81% LOAD FACTOR.
AND AGAIN THAT IS THE NUMBER OF PASSENGER BOARDINGS THROUGHOUT THAT MONTH.
OUR ENPLANEMENTS WERE UP 5% FOR THE MONTH.
AND THEN WE'RE STILL UP ABOUT 13% FOR THE YEAR.
SO STILL A VERY GOOD MONTH AND A GOOD YEAR.
OUR AND ALWAYS SO CHRIS ALWAYS DRIFT UP DOWN AFTER THAT TO TALK ABOUT PARKING REVENUE, BECAUSE THAT'S THAT'S IMPORTANT TO US.

BUT OTHER THAN THAT, WE'RE, YOU KNOW, CONGRESS HAS BEEN OUT.
THE HOUSE IS OUT ON RECESS RIGHT NOW, AND THE SENATE IS DEALING WITH THE BUDGET.
SO WE HAVEN'T HAD ANY ANYTHING COME UP RECENTLY.
SO ON OUR CURRENT PROJECTS, WE DO CONTINUE TO WORK ON THE DESIGN FOR THE TERMINAL IN AND EXPANSION AND IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT.
SEAN AND I HAVE BEEN WORKING ON THAT WITH OTHER CITY STAFF AND OUR ARCHITECTS.
WE WILL HAVE TOMORROW'S A BIG DAY FOR US BECAUSE WE WILL RECEIVE PROPOSALS, FORMAL PROPOSALS FROM THE CONSTRUCTION MANAGER AT RISK REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS.

THERE HAVE BEEN OTHER CMR CONTRACTS THAT THE CITY HAS DONE FOR VARIOUS OTHER PROJECTS, BUT THIS IS THE FIRST TIME WE'VE USED THAT AT THE AIRPORT.
AND I'VE ALWAYS KIND OF HAD IN THE BACK OF MY MIND THAT A TERMINAL PROJECT REALLY IS A GOOD PROJECT FOR THAT TYPE OF PURCHASE, PURCHASING METHOD AND CONTRACTING METHOD.
SO IT'S A GREAT WAY TO DO A PROJECT LIKE THAT BECAUSE YOU GET YOU GET CLOSER TO REAL TIME COSTS. YES. YOU WALK THROUGH THAT PROCESS BECAUSE YOU HAVE THAT.
SO I THINK THAT'S I THINK THAT'S A WISE THING TO DO.
YEAH. AND AND SO IT, THE INTENT IS TO GET A CONTRACTOR IN INVOLVED DURING THE, THE LAST HALF OF THE DESIGN STAGE.
SO THAT WAY THEY ARE ABLE TO GIVE THEIR IDEAS ABOUT, OKAY, THIS IS HOW THIS IS, THIS IS A BETTER CONSTRUCTION METHOD THAN WHAT THE ARCHITECT MAYBE PROPOSING THESE MATERIALS MIGHT BE, MIGHT YOU MIGHT HAVE TROUBLE GETTING THESE MATERIALS IN THE IN THE FUTURE. WHY DON'T YOU LOOK AT SOMETHING ELSE. IT'S JUST IT JUST SEEMS LIKE A REALLY GOOD WAY TO DO A PROJECT LIKE THIS WHERE YOU'RE BASICALLY YOU'RE DOING A LOT OF RENOVATION ALONG WITH THE EXPANSION OF AN EXISTING BUILDING.
SO I'M LOOKING. YES. THE QUESTION I'VE BEEN ASKED THE MOST IS, HOW ON EARTH ARE THEY GOING TO KEEP THE AIRPORT OPEN AND OPERATIONAL AND HAVE CONSTRUCTION AT THE SAME TIME? SO MY QUESTION IS, WILL SOMEBODY BE DESIGNATED TO WORK SOLELY ON HOW TO KEEP THINGS RUNNING AND NOT HAVE IT BE A HASSLE FOR EVERYBODY? OH YEAH, THAT'S THAT IS SOMETHING THAT WE HAVE RELAYED IN THE, IN THE PRE-PROPOSAL MEETING TO FOR THE CMAA AND OUR ARCHITECT TO THEY WE ALL KNOW THE AIRPORT DOES NOT STOP.
IT'S GOT TO BE OPEN SEVEN DAYS A WEEK, PROBABLY ABOUT 21 HOURS A DAY OR 20 HOURS A DAY. SO THERE'S VERY LITTLE CHANCE OR VERY LITTLE TIME TO DO NIGHT WORK.
BUT WE DID SAY THERE IS NIGHT WORK INVOLVED IN THIS PROJECT, BECAUSE THERE'S GOING TO BE SOME TIMES WHERE IT'S GOING TO BE VERY LOUD, JUST WITH THE, THE DEMOLITION IN PARTICULAR.
SO WE'LL TRY TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THOSE OVERNIGHT TIMES EVEN THOUGH IT'S JUST A FEW HOURS, BUT AND THEN THE DEAD TIMES IN THE TERMINAL AS WELL.
THAT IS A BIG PART OF THIS PROJECT, IS THE COORDINATION TO MAKE SURE THAT WE ARE ALWAYS OPERATIONAL. AND I MEAN, IT'S NOT GOING TO BE PRETTY.
IT'S GOING TO BE UGLY, DUSTY, LOUD FOR SURE.
NOT COMFORTABLE AT TIMES, BUT WE WILL BE OPEN EVERY DAY DURING CONSTRUCTION. GOOD. WHAT'S THE CONSTRUCTION TIMELINE? WISH FOR DATES. SO AGAIN, GETTING THE SEYMOUR ON BOARD IS A VERY KEY PART OF THIS PROJECT, SO WE HOPE TO HAVE THEM AGAIN, AN AWARD RECOMMENDATION TO YOU GUYS IN NOVEMBER AND THEN BRING THAT TO COUNCIL FOR A CONTRACT AWARD AT THE SOONEST MEETING AFTER THAT.
AND THEN LET THEM GET TO WORK ON LOOKING AT THE DESIGN ALONG WITH STAFF AND PARK HILL.

IT WAS A HARD START FOR THAT PROJECT, BUT WE GOT THROUGH IT.
THAT WAS ALL COMPLETED BY THE END OF JUNE, AND THEY'VE BEEN BLOWING AND GOING EVER SINCE. SO LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING THAT COMPLETED ON TIME.

IT'S KIND OF AN ALL HANDS ON DECK FROM STAFF.

THIS IS IS DELAYED, BUT WE'VE HAD SOME DESIGN DELAYS IN THIS PROJECT BECAUSE WE'VE HAD TO ADD A ANOTHER DESIGN FIRM TO HANDLE THE TRAFFIC SIGNAL LIGHT.
AND ON HIGHWAY 36, WHERE THE ROAD WILL INTERSECT RIGHT AT HIGHWAY 36 AND FM 18.
SO THAT HAS KIND OF DELAYED THE DESIGN, BUT THAT'S WRAPPING UP AS WELL AS SOME AS DESIGN ON THE SIGNAGE THAT WILL BE ON THEIR PARK HILL HAS BEEN ENGAGED BY ET TO DO THAT WORK. SO WE ARE I THINK WE'RE IN PRETTY GOOD SHAPE.
THE BUDGET ESTIMATE RIGHT NOW IS WITHIN WHAT OUR FUNDING LEVEL IS.
SO YOU KNOW, I'M HOPING THAT WE CAN BE ON THE STREET BY EARLY NOVEMBER BIDDING THIS PROJECT AND THEN START CONSTRUCTION.

AIRPORT LAND THAT WAS THAT HAD FEDERAL MONEY INVOLVED IN IT.
WHEN WE WANT TO CHANGE THE USE OR WE WANT TO SELL PROPERTY, AIRPORT PROPERTY. SO I HAD BEEN TOLD FROM THE TIME I GOT HERE THAT THE CITY NEVER HAD NEVER

USED FAA OR FEDERAL DOLLARS TO PURCHASE LAND.AND THEN WE'VE WE STARTED A A VERY SIMPLE LAND RELEASE PROCESS WITH THE FAA EARLIER THIS YEAR AND TO, TO GET AREA B RELEASED.
SO THAT WAY WE COULD CHANGE OR CHANGE THE USE FOR SOME OF THOSE PARCELS TO THE, THE COMMERCIAL THE NON-AERONAUTICAL USES LIKE FOR THE CONVENIENCE STORE ON AN AREA.
BE FOUND OUT DURING THAT PROCESS THAT A GRANT FOR ABOUT $100,000 WAS TAKEN BY THE CITY IN 1973 TO REIMBURSE THE CITY FOR PURCHASE OF SOME OF THAT LAND. AGREEMENT WITH TEXDOT FOR THE NEW AIRPORT ACCESS ROAD.YEAH. SO, TEXDOT, WE'VE BEEN WORKING WITH TEXDOT ON THIS ROAD.
YOU KNOW, OF COURSE IT HAS AN INTERSECTION AT HIGHWAY 36 AND FM 18.
SO TEXDOT CONTACTED ME A COUPLE WEEKS AGO AND SAID, HEY, WE'RE LOOKING AT A WAY TO BECAUSE THERE WILL BE A A PORTION, OF COURSE, THAT IS OF OUR CONSTRUCTION IS GOING TO BE WITHIN THE RIGHT OF WAY OF HIGHWAY 36 AND FM 18 FOR THE ACTUAL PAVEMENT OF A TURN LANE, PAVING OF A TURN LANE, AND THEN THE TRAFFIC SIGNAL IS ALSO THE SIGNAL LIGHTS THAT WILL BE INSTALLED. SO TEXDOT IS RECOMMENDING THAT WE DO THIS IT'S CALLED A LOZA, WHICH IS THE LOCAL ON SYSTEM IMPROVEMENT PROJECT AGREEMENT.
BUT THAT WE DO THIS LOZA WHICH IS IN THE FORM OF A RESOLUTION COMING FROM CITY COUNCIL THAT SAYS THIS IS WHAT WE WANT TO CONSTRUCT WITHIN THE RIGHT OF WAY.
AND THE CITY AGREES THAT IT WILL FUND 100% OF THE COST OF THIS CONSTRUCTION.
AND SO IT'S IT'S A VERY SIMPLE CONCEPT, BUT IT JUST GIVES THEM IT GIVES US, I GUESS, IS AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY AND TXDOT TO DO THAT WORK WITHIN THE RIGHT OF WAY. SO ANY DISCUSSION ON THAT, DO YOU HAVE ANY THOUGHTS ON.
