FATHER WE ARE SO THANKFUL TO YOU FOR EVERYTHING YOU HAVE DONE AND PROVIDED FOR US. WE'RE ESPECIALLY GRATEFUL FOR THOSE MEN AND WOMEN WHO SERVE SERVE THE CITY SCENE PROTECT THE CITY EVERY DAY. WE PRAY A BLESSING ON THEIR FAMILIES AND THEIR ENDEAVORS TO EXECUTE THEIR VOCATION.

WE ASK YOU TO BE WITH ALL OF THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN AFFECTED BY COVID-19 AND THEIR FAMILIES. MAY YOU CONTINUE PROVIDING HEALING FOR THOSE INDIVIDUALS AND COMFORT FOR THOSE FAMILIES.

YOU'LL ALSO NOTE IN THE NEW BUDGET UPDATE THAT WE'RE LOOKING AT ADDING A TREMENDOUS AMOUNT OF SOFTWARE.

THIS HAPPENS TO BE A TERRIFIC TIME.

WE'RE CERTAINLY TAKING ADVANTAGE OF THE OPPORTUNITY FOR FOLKS TO BE IN THE OFFICE AND DO SOME THINGS THAT WE NORMALLY WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO DO WITH A TEAM THAT TRAVELS EXTENSIVELY.

SO WE'RE TAKING ADVANTAGE OF THAT BUT IT DOES REQUIRE A BUDGET UPDATE WHICH WOULD BE A REAL ESTATE SEARCH ENGINE ON OUR WEBSITE AS WELL AS SOME WEBSITE UPGRADES AND A NEW GIF GRAPHIC SOFTWARE AS WELL AS A CUSTOMER MANAGEMENT SYSTEM CALLED SALESFORCE. IT'D ALSO INCLUDES THE SALE OF VINE STREET WHICH YOU ALL APPROVED ABOUT SIX WEEKS AGO AND THAT SALE WAS FINAL AT THE END OF APRIL.

SO YOU WILL SEE SOME OF THAT NOTED AS WELL AS TWO OF OUR THREE BUILDINGS THAT WILL MEET PROJECT THRESHOLD WHICH IS BAVARIAN AND PROJECT ISO. THAT IS A FIRE SUPPRESSION SYSTEM AND SOME OTHER MAINTENANCE REQUIRED IN ORDER TO PREPARE THOSE BUILDINGS FOR SALE.

NOW, THE LAST ITEM THAT YOU'LL NOTE ON THE SLIDE IS ADDITIONAL PROJECTS THAT WE ARE ABLE TO ADD DUE TO STREAM LINING AND EFFECTIVENESS FOR CAPACITY WOULD BE PREPARING THE THIRD BE VACATED. BY CONTRACT THEY'LL VACATE BY SPRING OF NEXT YEAR BUT THEY'RE IN THE PROCESS OF MOVING OUT RIGHT NOW AS WELL AS MAINTENANCE ON SOME OF THE FACILITIES OF THE DCOA OWNS AT THE AIRPORT. THE DCOA RESOLUTION FOR THIS BUDGET AMENDMENT DOES INCLUDE SOME ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS FOR STAFF AND REALIGNMENT. THAT IS NOT SOMETHING I'M ASKING YOU TO CONSIDER TODAY. I'M JUST TELLING YOU THAT THEIR RESOLUTION LOOKS SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT.

WE ARE COMMITTED, THE DCOA BOARD IS COMMITTED ONNING THE 21ST OF MAY FOR THEIR BOARD MEETING TO ADDRESS SOME OF THE NEW BUDGETED ITEMS ANDLY BE PREPARED TO BRING THEM TO COUNCIL FOR ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATION EITHER IN JUNE OR JULY VERY SHORTLY THIS SUMMER.

SO I THINK AT THIS POINT I'VE HIGHLIGHTED THE KEY POINTS THAT ARE UPDATES IN THE BUDGET BUT I'M CERTAINLY OPEN FOR

AND I JUST SAY THAT TO REMIND THE PUBLIC THAT WE'RE TALKING ABOUT MONEYS THAT WERE DEDICATED FROM OCTOBER 2019 THROUGH THE END OF SEPTEMBER 2020. SO WE HAVE SOME WAY OF ANTICIPATING PROJECTS THAT MIGHT BE COMING UP BY THE END OF

SEPTEMBER 2020. >> OKAY. BUT WE ARE APPROVING PROJECTS LIKE THIS BUDGET APPROVAL IS A RESOLUTION SO IT'S IN ONE MEETING SO IT CAN BE DONE QUICKLY AND WHEN WE APPROVE PROJECTS, THERE ARE PROJECTS ON HERE THAT WE'RE NOW APPROVING THE FUNDING FOR THAT THE PROJECT WAS ALREADY APPROVED BY THE COUNCIL SO I GUESS I'M STILL NOT CLEAR WHY WE NEED TO APPROVE AN EXTRA MILLION DOLLARS THAT'S NOT EARMARKED FOR ANYTHING EXCEPT

SOME FUTURE POSSIBILITY. >> THERE ARE CASES WHERE THE BOARD IS FUNDING PROJECTS THAT ARE NOT IN EXCESS OF $250,000 AND IN ORDER FOR THEM TO BE ABLE TO DO THAT, THEY HAVE TO HAVE FUNDING THAT'S BUDGETED FOR IT. OTHERWISE, WE'RE COMING BACK TO COUNCIL FOR EVERY 30 OR 40 OR $50 INCREMENTAL AMOUNT.

WHATEVER THAT IS. WE ARE THEN OBLIGATED TO COME BACK TO THE COUNCIL FOR THOSE INDIVIDUAL APPROVALS SO IF WE HAVE A PROJECT THAT THE DCOA BOARD CAN CONSIDER AND LET'S SAY IT'S $60,000, IT'S NOT IN THE BUDGET THEN WE'RE GOING TO HAVE TO COME BACK TO COUNCIL FOR IT TO BE IN THE BUDGET.

SO THAT IN ESSENCE IS SAYING THAT THE DCOA BOARD DOESN'T HAVED AN AUTHORITY UP TO $250,000.

THEY WOULD THEN HAVE TO COME BACK FOR EVERY INDIVIDUAL PROJECT. SO IT REALLY IS A WAY AND NOW REMEMBER I WANT TO REMIND EVERYONE THAT WE'RE TALKING SPECIFICALLY ABOUT THE ABILITY TO ATTRACT AND ENSENT -- INCENTIVIZE COMPANY EXPANSION SO WE'RE NOT TALKING ABOUT PROJECTS AS IN ROADWAYS OR OTHER THINGS THAT THE DCOA HAS INCLUDED IN THE BUDGET. THIS PARTICULAR ITEM IS PROJECTS AND INCENTIVES RELATED TO COMPANY EXPANSION.

WHEN THE BOARD HAS APPROVED EXPENDITURES, THAT'S BEEN PRESENTED DURING THE SEMIANNUAL REPORT DURING THE BUDGET APPROVAL PROCESS, I GUESS I'M -- I'M JUST TRYING TO UNDERSTAND WHY THIS CHANGE IS TAKING PLACE WHERE WE'RE HAVING TO APPROVE SOMETHING WITHOUT ANYTHING TIED TO IT WHEN IN THE PAST IT'S ALWAYS BEEN THE BOARD IS APPROVED ALL THE OF THESE DIFFERENT PROJECTS LIKE NEXT UNIVERSITY AND THE ALL KINDS OF THINGS THAT ARE LISTED IN THERE THAT AFTER THE FACT SINCE THEY WERE BELOW THE 250 WE JUST APPROVED A REVISED BUDGET THAT WE KNEW THIS WENT TO THAT AND THIS WENT TO THAT PROJECT AND WE

IT'S THE TAXPAYER'S MONEY AND THAT SALES TAX IS GOING TO BE PRETTY HARD TO COME BY AND WE DON'T KNOW WHICH THIS COVID-19 SITUATION WILL ENDS.
